Scripts are the starting point of any project, so we’ve gone back to the drawing board and completely revamped our script importer and script viewer in Think Crew. You can now import multiple scripts into a schedule – something that is very useful when working on a narrative series! Scripts previously took up to thirty seconds to upload, but now they take less than 1 second on average. The importer now also has an underlying codebase that allows us to open up the types of imports we can accept in the future. Stay tuned for more news on that front…

Script Viewer

Ultimately, you aren’t really dealing with a script as a whole when you’re working with it. It’s the individual scenes in the script that contain the information you need. With that in mind, the script viewer is now scene-centric. Instead of scrolling endlessly to get to the information you need, the script is now presented as a series of ordered scenes.

Navigate Scenes

Getting to the scene information you need has never been faster – simply type in the scene number you’re looking for and you’ll be taken directly there. Or, if you’d like to quickly fly through all of the scenes, use the slider at the top of the script viewer to fly through all of the scenes at lightning speed.

Linking Scenes To Breakdowns

Your scenes are now linked to individual breakdowns in your schedule. Selecting a strip or breakdown will automatically change the scene in the script viewer to the corresponding scene. And you can manage which scenes are linked to specific breakdowns with a new dropdown item in the breakdown sheet.
